Gamalakhe Feeding Project

Named after township -Gamalakhe(Zulu name) means "His/Her name".
Pastor Dumisane Mzameko - Gamalakhe Township
Two Tunics project enrollment date: June 2008 ( Scroll down for updates)

As a young boy Pastor Dumisane found himself on the street without support of family or friends. He fought to survive by taking jobs on farms and managed to support himself. After coming to know the Lord Jesus Christ he committed to do everything he could to ensure that no child has to struggle for survival as he did without the love and support of others.

The project currently feeds about 60 needy children before and after school. Pastor Dumisane plays accordian and sings with the children and teaches them from the Bible.

Two Tunics support includes:

  • Tank and gas for cooking, other equipment for feeding
  • Food assistance with daily feeding of children
  • Daily fortified porridge supplied by our partner Food 4 Africa
  • Organisational strengthening working toward registration of the project
Update 17 August 2009

During the July school holiday, Robin and Onnie arranged to show the chldren's version of the Jesus film to the kids that attend the Gamalakhe Feeding Project. A local business woman donated t-shirts for the children. The children enjoyed watching the film and were able to ask and answer question. They also received Bibles and oranges during the event.
